75 Aniversario del Seminario Menor San Alfonso/ 75th Anniversary of the San Alfonso Minor Seminary

Hace unos días se cumplieron 75 años de haber sido inaugurado el Seminario Menor redentorista San Alfonso en la ciudad de San Luis Potosí, México. Por ello, se tuvieron algunos eventos conmemorativos.
El día 11 de febrero se celebró una eucaristía vespertina, en la cual se entregaron signos a los formandos redentoristas. A quienes se encuentran en el primer año de bachillerato se les regaló el libro de San Alfonso: “Visitas al Santísimo”. A los estudiantes de segundo año de bachillerato se les entregó un rosario. A los formandos del curso Propedéutico se les otorgó una cruz redentorista. Durante esa celebración se bendijo un nuevo cáliz donado al Seminario y, a su vez, el lugar donde se iban a colocar las reliquias de algunos de nuestros santos y beatos redentoristas. Terminando la misa, se tuvo como cena unas deliciosas hamburguesas al carbón.
Al día siguiente, el día 12 de febrero, se celebró una eucaristía solemne en nuestro Santuario de Nuestra Señora del Perpetuo Socorro, aquí en San Luis Potosí. Ésta fue presidida por el Arzobispo de nuestra diócesis, Monseñor Don Jesús Carlos Cabrero Romero. Junto con él, concelebraron varios cohermanos redentoristas. Terminada la misa, se degustó un delicioso mole en las instalaciones del Seminario Menor San Alfonso. Durante ese momento se develó una placa conmemorativa del evento, se escuchó el mensaje de felicitación que envió el Padre General Michael Brehl y se cantó “Vivat in aeternum.”
Gracias sean dadas a Dios y a cuantos han pasado y brindado esfuerzo, cariño y vida para que continúe vigente este Seminario Menor. ¡Muchas gracias!
A few days ago it was 75 years since the Inauguration of the San Alfonso Redemptorist Minor Seminary in the city of San Luis Potosí, Mexico. Therefore, there were some commemorative events.
On February 11, an evening Eucharist was celebrated, in which signs were given to the Redemptorist formandi. Those who are in the first year of high school were given the book of St. Alphonsus: "Visits to the Blessed Sacrament". The second-year high school students were given a rosary. The trainees of the Propedeutic course were granted a Redemptorist cross. During that celebration a new chalice donated to the Seminary was blessed and, in turn, the place where the relics of some of our Redemptorist saints and blesseds were to be placed. At the end of the mass, delicious charcoal burgers were had as dinner.
The next day, February 12, a solemn Eucharist was celebrated at our Shrine of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, here in San Luis Potosí. This was presided over by the Archbishop of our diocese, Monsignor Don Jesús Carlos Cabrero Romero. Along with him, several Redemptorist concelebrated concelebrated. At the end of the mass, a delicious mole was tasted in the facilities of the San Alfonso Minor Seminary. During that time a plaque commemorating the event was unveiled, the congratulatory message sent by Father General Michael Brehl was heard and "Vivat in aeternum" was sung.
