In North America, and indeed around the world, there’s a great deal going on in the area of Partnership in and for Mission in our Redemptorist Family. The consultation around the draft Ratio Formationis for Partnership in Mission yielded feedback from every Conference, every Conference-level Working Group, Commission or Secretariat, and many individuals and local groups. The General Commission for PIM collated this massive amount of feedback and organized it so that it could be used in the revisions.
On May 24 and 25, 2021, the Conference of Redemptorists of Africa and Madagascar (COREAM) held a gathering of Partners in Mission. This was the first such gathering for the Conference, and the joy and excitement was a great thing to witness. Anne Walsh was asked to offer input on the history of PIM, and the Redemptorist documents that have guided partnership in and for mission as it has developed over the past thirty years.
On June 10 and 11, 2021, the Conference of Asia and Oceania held a gathering of Partners in Mission. Anne Walsh was invited to speak about the Directory for Partnership in Mission on the first day, and our Superior General, Fr. Michael Brehl, CSsR was asked to speak about the vision and goals of Partnership in and for Mission on the second day. This was another spirit-filled and joyful gathering.
