On June 27th, our parish commemorated the feast day of Our Lady of Perpetual Help. Mary, Our Mother of Perpetual Help, is known for miracles and answers to prayers.
In celebration of this important day, the Youth Ministry performed three concerts at different parishes to sing praises of Our Mother of Perpetual Help. The concert was comprised of ballet dances, music played by talented musicians, songs sung by performance grade singers, as well as dialogue that shared the story of Mary.
Our first concert was held at St. Andrew’s Parish. Many parishioners of St. Andrew's were captivated by the presentation. The audience reaction affirmed the talents of our performers. Most importantly, the love of Our Mother of Perpetual Help was shared with fellow Christians through this musical performance.
Our second show took place at St. Mary's Parish. The amazing story of Mary and the wonderful music touched everyone in the congregation. Parishioners sang along with us and clapping filled the church after each song. We even got a standing ovation from the audience at the end of the show.
The last presentation was held at our parish. To honor the feast day of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Archbishop Michael Miller came to our parish to say Mass before the concert. Many parishioners attended the Mass and joined the dinner celebration afterward.
The concert started after all guests finished the delicious buffet prepared by the caterer handpicked by Father Babu. Many parishioners came to show support to the Youth Ministry.
An elegant ballet dance and the beautiful song “Ave Maria” kicked off the concert and introduced the icon of the Mother of Perpetual Help. The miraculous power and the everlasting love of Mary were seamlessly conveyed throughout this stellar performance. This unique experience allowed the Youth Ministry to share Mary's unlimited love with fellow brothers and sisters in the Archdiocese.
Mary is renowned for her kindness and maternal love. When we need support, Mary is always there to help. Mary is aware of our pain when families are in disarray, when tragedy and disappointments befall us. She feels it. She hears us and keeps an eye out for us.
She has the power to intercede with God. Her love for us is perpetual. Next time, when you encounter difficulties, please remember to share your challenges with Mary in your prayers. When you pray, she will listen.
